Simms Waders – For the addicted family fishermen. If they don’t own a pair of Simms waders. Make them feel like they’re 12 years old again on Christmas morning. I used to be the buy a new academy pair of waders every year until I buckled down and bought a pair of Simms. Let me tell you what, they are worth every penny.
They are as comfortable as a pair of golf pants with amazing breath ability and versatility. From the back lakes to the bay front and in and out of the duck blind. Mine are going on 5 years with no leaks and stellar performance. Not to mention the lifetime warranty. A pair of wrapped Simms waders under the tree might even entice Santa to snatch them for himself. Cheers.

Buck, Buck, Moose – This one ended up in my library by way of recommendation from Tyler. It’s easily the coolest and most well put together big game cook book that I’ve ever seen. Recipes range from classics like chicken fried backstrap to regional favorites like pozole rojo, all the way to the unusual like Sichuan spicy heart stir-fry.
Hardscrabble Jacket – There is no other all purpose/all season hunting jacket. At least not in my mind anymore. I’ve worn this thing on warm-ish South Texas mornings, as well as on 20 degree days in the mountains. It’s warm enough for harsh mornings, but has zipper vents near the armpits for easily dumping heat on a hike later in the day.

Vac Master Chambered Vacuum Sealer – Every outdoorsman who hunts and fishes to put meat on their table should have a quality vacuum sealer. When it comes to keeping you game fresh and at the highest quality for months or even years after harvest, Nothing beats a chambered vacuum sealer. This is one of the most used investments in our hunting and gathering lifestyle. Fresh fish, wild game and produce with zero freezer burn and flawless seals. This chamber sealer will out perform anything else on the market and keep even large batches of food in flawless condition.
Bad Land Binocular Harness – When it comes to bino harnesses, stealth is the most important factor. Zippers and Velcro make noise that can alert game and keep you from accessing your gear with confidence. The Badlands bino harness uses a unique magnetic lock that can be opened and closed silently, while still providing confidence that your gear is safe.

Hardscrabble Pants – Whoever designed these things should be given a Nobel prize. My favorite features are the durability, the ability to ventilate and dump heat, the water resistance capabilities, the pocket placement and linings, the cut/fit and sizing, the sticky substance on the interior of the waistband holds the pants up without the need for a belt, the camo pattern breaks up the human outline in many types of terrain, etc. etc. Pretty much pick any feature of these pants, and it’s a homerun.
Orange Flagging Tape + Hand Warmers – Everything looks different in the dark, including your path to the deer stand. Avoid getting turned around and spooking that big buck before you even climb up on opening morning by marking your trail with this flagging tape. When your up in the stand, crack open a set of hand warmers so you stay comfortable on that all day sit.

Argali Kodiak Belt – Keeping your knife sharp is crucial for outdoorsmen. But carrying a legit sharpener out in the field can add extra weight and bulk when being minimal is important. Insert the Argali Kodiak Belt…lightweight, low profile, and does everything you need it to do to keep your blade in top condition. “Our patent pending design integrates three unique sharpening materials into the belt, including 1) a 6″ vegetable tanned leather strop; 2) a tungsten carbide sharpening bar; and 3) an 800 grit diamond plate along the back of the belt.” This belt is the perfect gift for any sportsman.
Salomon Quest 4D Hiking Boots – Growing up in Texas, cowboy boots is what you eat, sleep, hunt, and bathe in. Unfortunately, they don’t provide the greatest support and comfort in the field, which can a good hunt into a bad one rather quickly. The Salomon Quest 4D’s are the most comfortable and supportive boots I’ve ever owned. I’ve never been one to wear hiking boots, but my mind has changed drastically on that since getting these boots. They are lightweight, provide support, and feel broken in the moment you put them on. I’ve trekked through Idaho mountains and South Texas brush country, and they haven’t let me down yet.
