When Scott, from Lid Rig, reached out and asked if we wanted to sell some of his line nippers, I was not sure what to think. First of all, we’re not that kind of sportsman’s junction. Secondly, what the hell is a line nipper? Luckily for me, he was willing to hop on a call and set me straight.
It turns out that Lid Rig is a high-end line cutter system that uses magnets instead of springs. This eliminates one of the major flaws of other nippers and provides a ton of added utility thanks to the magnets. The Lid Rig comes with a hat clip that’s multi-functional as a nipper docking station, a blade/hook sharpener, and a bottle opener. In addition to all that, it also has a hook eyelet cleaner for getting blockage out of small eyelet openings.

Since the nippers are made of steel and have 4 small, yet powerful, magnets, this makes the cutters themselves magnetic. This allows them to adhere to the metallic clip, the side of a vehicle, or anywhere you place a Lid Rig Docking Decal. These decals are essentially thin metal plates with adhesive backs. With the Docking Decal you can dock on your ice chest, kayak, center console, or anywhere else you find useful.
