The other day I ran across a little fundraiser of sorts on a message board for college football that I troll around on. As a thank you for donating a certain amount, the guy running the fundraiser was giving out custom Hook’em hitch covers. My wife went to Texas. I grew up a Longhorn fan. So yeah, you bet I donated.
It turns out the guy putting on the fundraiser’s name is Travis and lives in the same part of town as we do. So I told him I could meet him to pick up the piece rather than bothering with shipping. After we met up, Travis and I stood around in his driveway talking for a while about football, our careers, and his metal working business, 210 Steel. I didn’t know much about what he actually did, other than hook me up with a cool hitch cover, but I told him I wanted to do a little post or something about it to share his business with anyone who’s reading.
